Sellier & Bellot - Soft Point - 240 Grain 44 Magnum Ammo - 600 Rounds
Details
The 1950’s saw a growing number of hunters showing an interest in using a handgun for their sport, and the need for a round that provided surety of purposes. By no less a gun guru as Elmer Keith, a .44 special case was lengthened to provide more energy. After appealing to both Remington and Smith & Wesson to provide a commercial cartridge, and firearm capable of handling the pressure, the .44 Remington Magnum was introduced in 1954. Ideal for hunting and silhouette target shooting for those excited by large recoil. The soft point, 240 grain bullet by Sellier & Bellot has a muzzle velocity of 1181 feet per second with 743 foot pounds of energy. It is a reasonable target shooting round, but really shines through as a self-defense round, especially in areas where hollow point ammunition is prohibited for play or defense.
Sellier & Bellot’s reputation is founded upon 200 years of experience. US shooters have learned to appreciate S&B’s quality reloadable cases. .44 Magnum handloaders especially find these cases convenient for special loads to keep their hand cannon merrily blasting away. This 600 round lot is good for target, defense or keeping on hand for just in case.
