This isn’t ancient military surplus. It was recently manufactured for the commercial market by an industry-leading Serbian company, and it has the corrosion-free Boxer primers, low-fouling propellant and sparkling reloadable brass cases to show for it. The 196 grain projectile’s 2,182 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 24” test barrel. The SP has the solid copper-alloy jacket requisite for effectively deep penetration, as well as a supple lead tip which smashes down on impact to ensure deadly expansion.
