Details

At the end of World War I, the United States decommissioned most of its hardware, “beating swords to ploughshares” creating a large amount of surplus firearms: mostly 1903 Springfield rifles and 1911 Colt pistols (what a wonderful time to be alive!). With so many .30-06 rifles available, many gunsmiths and manufacturers experimented with alternatives to the Springfield case. One was Winchester’s .270. By reducing the caliber’s diameter, they created a bullet with better stability and penetrative ballistic characteristics. Even so, it did not become popular until the 1950’s. Today it is a trusted hunting and silhouette caliber.

PRVI’s soft point, 130 grain bullet has a muzzle velocity of 3051 feet per second with 2677 foot pounds of energy. The 200 round lot is ideal for sighting in at the beginning of the season and being ready through to the end.

PRVI Partizan provides commercial sporting ammunition with Serbian military dependability at prices that are meant to keep enthusiasts at the range and in the field without paying too much. The company utilizes proven bullet designs along with boxer primed brass cases. The former offers established performance while the latter provides reloading material to handloaders of this caliber.
