Nosler Trophy Grade Ammunition Polymer Tipped 130 Grain 270 Winchester Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
Like the .30-06 Springfield, the .270 Winchester is a descendent of the .30-03. Introduced in 1925, the .270 offers a narrower projectile for better long range stability and better penetration for hunting. Despite this, it was favored by only a few big game hunters and writers of the time. The round also offers considerable versatility – from long range target shooting to taking down elk - depending upon the bullet weight. After World War II the cartridge’s popularity increased, it provided a very good, domestic caliber for rechambering surplus military firearms.
The polymer tipped bullet by Nosler has a muzzle velocity of 3075 feet per second with 2729 foot pounds of energy. This is a premium, or “trophy grade” bullet designed for optimum performance in the field bringing down medium to larger sized game.
Nosler has built a reputation for itself specifically for its bullet designs offering superior penetration and maximum expansion without shattering and losing any mass (or energy) upon entering the target. The polymer tipped bullets offer the best in aerodynamics and accuracy, delivering the expanding bullet where it needs to be: dropping the game where it is hit. It wastes nothing in the field be it energy or time.
