Details

CCI originally introduced the Blazer brand to showcase their aluminum-cased ammunition. Blazer stands strong many years later because shooters still appreciate the primary benefit of aluminum cases: they make the ammo cheaper without forfeiting performance.

Aluminum cases aren’t reloadable. It’s their chief drawback, albeit one you don’t have to care about if you aren’t a handloader. Blazer loads aluminum cases with (noncorrosive) Berdan primers, which provide added assurance that people don’t waste their time trying to reload them.

This ammo’s bullets aren’t unique. They’re good old-fashioned 50 grain full metal jackets, which don’t contain steel and won’t fail a range’s magnet test. This is the 25 ACP we’re talking about, so the pipsqueak bullet only gets 63 ft lbs muzzle energy out of a 2” barrel. Not a great pick for self-defense, but a great choice for training if you’re known to slip a .25 cal mouse gun into your boot on occasion.
