Details

.357 Sig ammunition has the distinction of being one of the most commercially popular modern, bottle necked cartridge. Introduced in 1994 by Sig Sauer, it is a 10mm Auto round necked down to accept a narrower round for increased performance. Designed specifically for defeating levels of body armor by secret service agents and the like, it is primarily favored for delivering .357 Magnum performance out of a service model semi-automatic firearm. It is also a popular choice for performance handgun competitions given its flat trajectory and positive energy in action cycling.

Corbon’s 115 grain jacketed hollow point bullet has a muzzle velocity of 1500 feet per second with 575 foot pounds of energy. It is a superlative personal defense round offering devastating terminal ballistics.

Corbon’s reason for existing is to provide a superior performance defensive cartridge: in 1982 it was founded by Peter Psi Sr to address the issue of most commercially available hollow point ammunition being thwarted by heavy clothing: while the bullets would still penetrate, they often failed to expand. The Corbon/Glaser bullets offer guaranteed expansion performance delivering maximum stopping power down range. It is a common choice for both on and off law enforcement looking to insure effective results where and when it matters in the field.
