Fiocchi V-MAX 40 Grain 204 Ruger Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
Introduced in 2004, Ruger’s .204 is that company’s entry into the 5mm high velocity round for target shooting and varmint hunting. Like the .48 Ruger, the .204 was developed in conjunction with Hornady, the .204 is a necked down .222 Remington Magnum case providing increased pressure and exit velocity with a narrower bullet with a greater longitudinal axis providing better stability in flight and penetration though the target. It has become a popular “domesticated” wildcat cartridge for performance level AR rifle makers and shooters looking to gain an edge over more conventional rounds. The 40 grain V-Max bullet by Fiocchi has a muzzle velocity of 3700 feet per second and hits with 1216 foot pounds of energy. This is a premium varmint hunting round offering superior aerodynamics and controlled expansion into the target. Fiocchi offers this cartridge in 50 round boxes instead of the more common 20 round quantity box.
The Italian munitions maker Fiocchi began at the start of the modern ammunition revolution in the middle of the 19th century. This included the smaller caliber, smokeless powder metallic cartridges. Fiocchi also provides reloadable cases and the V-Max bullet: the polymer tip generates the best in flight and knock down power.
