Tula Cartridge Works - Full Metal Jacket - 122 Grain 7.62X39 Ammo - 40 Rounds
Details
Developed in 1943, 7.62X39 ammunition was the Russian response to the German 8mm Kurz (short) rifle bullet: more than a pistol caliber, less than a full rifle round, it proved well suited for rapid and relatively controlled firing. Today it is one of the most widespread of rifle calibers in the world for military and private use: a dependable and consistently performing compact cartridge with the power of a .30-30 Winchester. Tula’s 122 grain, full metal jacket bullet is measured leaving the barrel at 2396 feet per second with, on average, 1702 foot pounds behind it. This is a cartridge intended for use in any SKS or AK type rifle system s well as for target shooting in a growing number of sporting rifles that are capable of coping with the steel case.
Tula was one of the original makers of the 7.62x39 and over seventy-five years later is still at it: manufacturing to the same quality standards (it must work under any conceivable circumstance) as under Soviet and Russian Federation direction. Today it still provides for the state as well as for commercial export. This steel case, non-corrosive ammunition is designed for dependable performance no matter how long it is kept in storage.
