Sellier & Bellot - Triple Shock - 110 Grain 6.8 SPC Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The 6.8 Remington Special Purpose Carbine round was developed in 2002 to answer the need for increased the terminal ballistics over the standard 5.56 NATO round at range. The goal was to create a round that could be fired from the AR platform (specifically the M4 Carbine) while duplicating the performance of the 7.62x39 Russian round. The result was a caliber that was almost halfway to the performance of the 7.62 NATO, all for the cost of switching out the upper receiver of the M4 rifle system. That cost, however, exceeded the US military’s recognition of any benefits ratio, so it was not adopted for widespread replacement of the 5.56 platform. Some elements of Special forces, and a great many sportsmen, however, embraced the new cartridge to power up their AR platforms.
