Sellier & Bellot - Soft Point - 180 Grain 30-06 Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The .30-06 Springfield is a re-development of the .30-03 cartridge, with a spitzer type bullet for improved ballistics and aerodynamics. The -03 was in turn meant to be an improvement over the .30-40 Krag, the first small diameter US service rifle round using smokeless powder: all three adoptions taking place in the course of a little over a decade. The “06” has since gone on to serve in several national armies, not the least of which of course being the US through two world wars and the conflict in Korea. Even after being retired in the 1950’s has continued on as a trusted hunting cartridge capable of taking game on virtually every continent of the world. The 180 grain soft point bullet by Sellier & Bellot exits the muzzle at 2707 feet per second with 2930 foot pounds behind it. This is a quality, heavy hitting, hunting round matching penetration and expansion.
Founded in 1820s Bohemia, Sellier & Bellot has been a premium ammunition components and cartridge manufacturer under the direction of a half dozen governments. In the latter half of the 20th century, S&B has become a prominent commercial ammunition producer renown for quality components and reloadable cases: an additional value for shooters looking to hand load their own custom hunting rounds.
