Sellier & Bellot - Polymer Tipped Spitzer - 110 Grain 6.8 SPC Ammo - 600 Rounds
Details
In 2002 the U.S. Military began entertaining options for the AR/M4 series of rifles. The goal was to mate the hyper velocity of the standard service round to a larger diameter round making a gap round between the 5.56mm and 7.62mm NATO rounds. The result was the 6.8mm Special Purpose Carbine round by Remington. What made the 6.8 SPC interesting was the ability to be used in the AR platform with a simple change of the upper receiver. The cost per unit, however, was prohibitive for government use. Civilian shooters, however, find the increased power on the trusted AR series a new option for hunting as well as civil defense. The 110 grain polymer tipped spitzer (PTS) bullet by Sellier & Bellot has a muzzle velocity of 2549 feet per second with 1587 foot pounds of energy. The bullet is made for hunting, training and defense. This 600 round case is ideal for keeping on hand for any purpose.
American shooters have slowly been introduced to the quality of Sellier & Bellot over the last couple decades, only a fraction of the almost two hundred years the company has been in the munitions making business. S&B polymer tipped bullets maintain the ballistic performance with expansive qualities upon entry. The brass cases are also boxer primed for further reloading value.
