Sellier & Bellot - Full Metal Jacket - 230 Grain 45 GAP Ammo - 1000 Rounds
Details
The .45 Glock Automatic Pistol (GAP) ammo is the only cartridge associated with and for the exclusive use of Glock firearms. The objective of the round, introduced in 2003, was to deliver .45 ACP ballistics in a handgun that used the same frame as Glock’s popular 9mm/.40/.357 Sig line of firearms. This required a shorter cased bullet loaded to slightly higher pressures to match the ACP’s performance. While still used by some law enforcement agencies (most notably, Smyrna, Georgia’s police force), the round is not quite as popular with some shooters as the more traditional calibers. None the less it is an impressive round in a platform size that is adored by quite a few. The 230 grain, full metal jacketed round by Sellier & Bellot has a muzzle velocity of 807 ft per sec with 333 ft lbs of energy. The 1000 round case is a splendid choice for keeping active at the range, target shooting, or simply maintaining firearm familiarity.
In recent decades, American shooters have become increasingly aware of what European sportsmen have known for literal generations: Sellier & Bellot delivers one of the most consistently performing cartridges in the world, almost exclusively because they are among the oldest, continuous ammo making firms in the world. Their boxer primed case offer more value to handloaders seeing their own custom rounds, or simply maintaining a supply of this less than common caliber for their own use.
