This cartridge is loaded with a full metal jacket. Remington has been known to refer to the FMJ as a “metal case” in the past, but they’re truly one and the same bullet. At 165 grains, the bullet is light enough to secure a supersonic muzzle velocity without generating excessive recoil as a result. Thanks to its solid lead core and hard copper-alloy jacket, the FMJ doesn’t have the ability to attract a magnet.
