This cartridge’s 165 grain projectile is a pointed soft point boat tail. Its sleek tip and tapered base both help it minimize drag effectively enough to achieve a pretty spiffy 0.230 G7 (0.457 G7) ballistic coefficient (noting that Prvi Partizan recorded the bullet’s 2,805 fps muzzle velocity with a 24” test barrel). By our calculations, the bullet’s 200-yard trajectory peaks out at 2.4” above the bore line, and then drops -10.50” at 300 yards (that’s all assuming 1.5” sight height).
The PSP BT doesn’t just reach its target. It also expands inside of it, and penetrates deeply courtesy of its tough copper-alloy jacket. The nonmagnetic projectile is seated in a new and repeatedly reloadable virgin brass case, complete with a noncorrosive Boxer primer to get the show started.
