Details

PMC: Precision Military Cartridges. It’s the South Korean company responsible for making the South Korean military’s small arms ammunition; a subsidiary of the Poongsan Corporation, which manufactures a wide variety of metals including the brass requisite for making the fine brass-cased 7.62x39 you see here.

This cartridge is loaded with a 123 grain full metal jacket projectile: lead core, copper-alloy jacket, and zero ferrous steel. The bullet’s 2,350 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 20” barrel (3.7” longer than an AK-47’s standard barrel, which means you can anticipate a lower actual muzzle velocity if you run this ammo through a Kalashnikov). If your rifle does have a 20” barrel (i.e. if it is an SKS), then you can expect a 0.266 G1 BC and trajectory to 200 yards that climaxes 4.2” above the bore line.

No steel cases here. PMC’s new brass cases and noncorrosive Boxer primers make this ammo a great pick if you want to handload your own 7.62 Soviet to get all the life out of the casings that's possible.
