Magtech - Solid Copper Hollow Point - 130 Grain 40 Smith & Wesson Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
Designed by Federal ammunition with Smith & Wesson at the express request of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the .40 S&W was an attempt to have the ballistic energy of a 10mm Auto with the handling of a 9mm. It did not quite achieve either, but since its debut in 1990 the caliber has won a great many converts for bridging the gap between the capacity of a 9mm and the energy of a .45 acp +p. It is that compromise that has kept many shooters devoted to the .40, even after the FBI has moved on. This solid copper hollow point round by Magtech exits the muzzle at an impressive 1190 feet per second with 409 foot pounds behind it. This is an expressly personal defense round with the speed and weight of a 9mm but hits with more energy and with a bullet that will expand reliably to deliver a maximum wound channel.
Beginning in 1990, Magtech's reputation as an affordable range and training ammunition manufacturer was galvanized by a reputation of having a consistently performing product manufactured on reloadable and quality components. This reputation has been extended to their line of purpose designed, personal defense rounds including the latest design of solid copper, expanding bullets. Purchase with confidence and experience the difference.
