Magtech - Semi Jacketed Hollow Point - 158 Grain 357 Magnum Ammo - 500 Rounds
Introduced in 1934 as a law enforcement upgrade, Smith & Wesson’s .357 Magnum was a lengthened .38 Special case with a larger primer to provide improved penetration and knock down capabilities in the age of the motorized bank robber. Offering improved performance without having to require police officers to become proficient with a firearm other than their reliable revolvers, the .357 was the best side arm caliber law enforcement had for a time yet remains a very popular caliber with recreational shooters and hunters.
This 357 magnum ammo is loaded with 158 grain semi jacketed hollow point bullets by Magtech. That projectile leaves the muzzle with 1235 feet per second with 535 ft lbs of energy. This is a good all around cartridge for target shooting and range training while also offering peace of mind as a hunting and personal defense round. Further, the hollow point provides a flat front making the cartridge safe for use in carbines that tube magazine fed.
In 1990 Magtech joined the CBC Group, a South American ammunition conglomerate that includes other manufacturers such as Sellier & Bellot. Initially providers of range and training ammunition, Magtech has expanded to include lines of hunting, indoor range and self-defense ammunition. Loaded on reloadable cases provides additional value to shooters of this caliber.
