Magtech - Lead Semi Wadcutter - 158 Grain 38 Special Ammo - 50 Rounds
The 1890's saw the US military struggling to come up with a replacement revolver round for the venerable .45 LC. The first choice, the .38 Colt, was found to underperform in action during the Philippine occupation. Smith & Wesson therefore saw fit to amend the issue by lengthening the case and offering the .38 S&W Special. The Special offered better ballistics than its predecessor and offered an additional perk when firearms chambered for it could also fire the .38 Colt: the US Army was notorious for not liking to waste ammo back then. This 158 grain lead semi wad cutter (SWC) bullet has a muzzle velocity of 755 feet per second with 200 foot pounds behind it. It is designed for range training and target shooting. Further, the semi wad cutter bullet not only offers better printing on paper targets but is also safe to use in tube magazine rifles and carbines without risk of setting off the primer of the round in front it.
As a member of the global CBC Group, Magtech has been offering inexpensive range and training ammunition since 1990. US shooters have found the reloadable cases and dependable performance coupled with economy of price a comfortable alternative to more expensive options at the range. After all, when you go to the range, you want to run out of time, not ammo.
