Magtech - Lead Round Nose - 158 Grain 38 Special Ammo - 250 Rounds
Smith & Wesson introduced the .38 Special in 1898 as an improvement upon the .38 Colt then in military service. Smith introduced the .38sp with their new model revolver with a swing out cylinder and hand ejector rod. This design was almost as fast to reload as S&W’s break open revolvers like the Schofield, but with a stronger frame for higher velocity ammunition. While the caliber did not remain in frontline US military service for long, it was ultimately adopted by both law enforcement and private shooters for its inherent accuracy and easy recoil. The 158 grain lead round nosed bullet by Magtech has a muzzle velocity of 755 feet per second with 200 foot pounds of energy. This is a perfect round for target practice and range training. Additionally, it is ideal for use with both modern and vintage firearms in Single Action Shooting matches reliving the wild west.
Since 1990 Magtech has provided consistent value and reliability in target and training ammunition made from quality components including, fully reloadable brass cases. This quarter case lot is perfect for keeping skills honed for practice or for use in competitions, including those for cowboy action style firearms.
