Magtech - Lead Round Nose - 125 Grain 38 Special Ammo - 50 Rounds
Ever since it was introduced in 1899 by Smith & Wesson, the .38 Special has become a favored personal defense and target shooting round. It is particularly popular is Central and South American countries for civil – both private and official - security as it is not a standard military round, yet is readily available, reliable and quite accurate. As a result, a demand for a practice and target cartridge in this caliber arose and was met by the CBC, or .38 Spl, Short.
Magtech’s 125 grain lead round nose bullet has a muzzle velocity of 686 feet per second with 130 foot pounds of energy. This has the effect of generating no more recoil out of a service revolver than what can be expected from a .22. This round, while far from common, is ideal for officer (or private) training, introducing new shooters when only a .38/.357 firearm is available or simply just target shooting.
Magtech’s reputation as a training and target shooting ammunition manufacturer is well established and has allowed the company to broaden its product base into more specific and less common applications. This .38 Special Short is one example, and brass is boxer primed and fully reloadable for additional value, considering the low chamber pressures the cartridge generates.
