Magtech - Jacketed Hollow Point - 155 Grain 40 Smith & Wesson Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
The .40 Smith & Wesson was meant to be a “loaded down”, or “short” version of the potent 10mm Auto. It was developed seven years after its parent cartridge, in 1990, at the request of the Federal Bureau of Investigation as the recoil of the 10mm proved too much for too many agents to manage for accurate and rapid follow up shots. The recoil of many .40 caliber loads is still more stout than some shooter are comfortable with, but others are looking for the maximum benefit their caliber can deliver. To that end, though shorter than the 10, some .40’s can and are loaded to pressures that provide similar ballistics. The 155 grain jacketed hollow point bullet by Magtech can exit the barrel at up to 1205 feet per second delivering 500 foot pounds of energy. This is a personal defense round that is ideal for service or conceal carry .40 shooters.
Magtech’s reputation to provide reliable and affordable range ammunition is the capital upon which it also provides defense purpose ammunition that is equally consistent and affordable. As always, they are loaded on boxer primed cases for additional value, but the real savings is in using the same rounds in training that are used in the critical moment without shelling out premium ammunition costs.
