This is personal protection ammo, loaded with jacketed hollow point bullets that expand upon entering a soft medium. That creates a wider, more injurious wound channel, and also reduces the risk of the bullet passing through a threat where it can harm an innocent bystander. The bullet weighs 115 grains, which alongside its relatively modest 1,155 fps muzzle velocity (4” test barrel) translates to pretty tame recoil, at least as far as 9mm recoil is concerned.
