Thirteen pounds of ammunition, but only 50 rounds? That could only be the 50 BMG. This new production ammunition hails from the U.S. government’s Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, and it’s perfect for keeping your sniping skills sharp as a razor.

This round has a “vanilla” M33 bullet – no tracer, no incendiary, no ballistic coefficient enhancing aluminum tip. Its copper alloy jacket is concentric enough to support a flat trajectory on its own accord, and its core is made of solid low carbon steel. That quite naturally makes the M33 bullet magnetic, yet at the same time strong enough to penetrate most any type of barrier. The U.S. Army issues this kind of ammunition for use against unarmored targets and personnel.

This ammo’s brass cases are gray and speckled around their necks and shoulders. They are still very much brand new – Lake City simply doesn’t bother to polish their cases after heat treating them for superior suppleness and reloadability. This non-corrosive ammo comes loose packed in a plain carton.
