Each cartridge is loaded with a 62 grain full metal jacket that doesn’t contain steel. Why does that matter? Because it means you can get extremely similar performance to the military’s 5.56x45 M855 load at any range which prohibits “magnetic ammunition.”
This bullet’s added weight gives it pretty good resistance against wind drift, too. If there’s a 10 mph cross wind blowing in at a 90 degree angle, you can expect the 0.274 G1 BC bullet to only get pushed about 4.5” to the side by the time it reaches 200 yards.
