Hornady - Flex Tip Technology - 110 Grain 38 Special Ammo - 25 Rounds
Hornady's 38 special jacketed hollow point (JHP) ammunition brings a muzzle velocity of 1090 feet per second with just under 300 foot pounds of muzzle energy. This is a self-defense round with maximum penetration and expansion, without being a true hollow point for use in jurisdictions where such rounds are prohibited (be sure to check your local laws!). Further, the flex tip makes the use of this round in tube magazines safe for use.
With this 38 spl, you'll get a single box of some of Hornady's finest ammunition. Inside, 25 rounds are ready to load up and fire at your command.
In 1899 Smith & Wesson presented the .38 Special to surpass the underpowered .38 Colt then in US military service, which it did. While not as large or powerful as the .45 acp, the Special was retained for military use by non-frontline and off duty troops. Its versatility of bullet design options made it a popular choice for law enforcement as well as civilian sport and defense shooters ever since.
Shortly after World War II, Hornady acquired surplus manufacturing machinery from the US government to make jacketing. In the following decades they began to produce premium quality hunting and defense rounds. This 25 round box is ideal for not only deer hunting but also for dangerous game and, of course, self defense. Nickel plated brass cases are boxer primed capable of being reloaded.
