Naturally, this 308 Win ammo is only good for 308 Win rifles. But it’s also ultra-accurate, because it sports Hornady’s own 168 grain ELD Match. The comp-ready bullet features a:
• Flat-tipped polymer Heat Shield that gently nudges air molecules aside
• Secant ogive profile, which stirs up impressively tiny drag is it slips through the air
• Boat tail, which further reduces drag so as to help the ELD Match follow a flatter and more precise trajectory; and
• Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket and swaged lead core, which both secure peak rotational stability with their exceptional balance

It all pays off. When it clears the 24” barrel it needs in order to achieve its advertised 2,700 fps muzzle velocity, the ELD Match’s 0.263 G7 ballistic coefficient kicks into action – the reason why the bullet drops to -8.2” 100 yards downrange of a 200-yard zero.
