Details

Truth be told, a woodchuck or prairie dog doesn’t stand a ghost of a chance if it’s struck by a conventional FMJ bullet. But does that mean you should settle for firing 223 Rem ball ammo while you’re out depopulating varmint country? No, sir! You want Fiocchi’s high-quality 223, loaded with nothing less than Hornady’s world-famous V-MAX!

The V-MAX is an outstandingly accurate bullet. Its sharp polymer tip cuts a clean path through the air. Its AMP jacket and swaged lead core both ensure it remains balanced enough to keep its tip pointed straight at its target. If it passes through a 24” barrel’s muzzle at a rate of 3,240 fps, the 0.255 G1 BC bullet will only rise 2.15” above the bore line before slapping a varmint at 200 yards.

The V-MAX is designed to self-destruct. When its tip connects with the target, it forces its long polymer tail into the swaged lead core’s precision-formed nose cavity. Once it hits the bottom, it causes the lead core and thin copper jacket to bust apart and fly outward as jagged shrapnel bits.

This ammo’s Nebraska-made bullets are loaded in Missouri – all-American brass cases (reloadable), Boxer primers (noncorrosive) and propellant (clean-igniting, of course)!
