This target round is loaded with a 180 grain full metal jacket projectile, with a muzzle velocity of 1,030 fps (Federal recorded that rate with a 5” test barrel). The bullet will conserve approximately 97% of its velocity at 25 yards. Zero in at that range, and drop at 50 yards will be -1.3” (give or take a hair). We recommend JHP over FMJ bullets for personal protection, which isn’t to say that American Eagle ammo couldn’t become a valuable ally during an emergency.
