This 17 HMR cartridge by CCI features a 17 grain polymer tipped bullet. Its sleek meplat gives way to a thin, concentric copper jacket which envelops the bullet’s base to prevent deformation throughout ignition. Loaded to a faster than average 2,650 fps muzzle velocity, the VNT offers a pancake-flat trajectory as it retains superior energy throughout the 17 HMR’s effective range.

Its yellow tip’s long tail extends deeply into the bullet’s hollow point nose cavity – but it only touches the base of it when it drives inward during impact. The VNT doesn’t penetrate soft tissue for very long until essentially blowing up, suiting it especially well for hunting the smallest game.
