This cartridge is loaded with a 158 grain total metal jacket projectile. Like an FMJ, the TMJ has a lead core. But unlike the more conventional target projectile, the bottom of the TMJ’s lead core is shielded against hot igniting propellant by its nonmagnetic copper-alloy jacket. That’s why the TMJ is able to deposit virtually zero lead residue on rifling. It’s also why the TMJ doesn’t produce toxic lead gas that will eventually find its way into your lungs. This ammo’s perfect if you’re a regular at an indoor firing range!

Blazer makes these all-purpose overpressure 38 Special target loads more economical by loading them with aluminum cases. Take care, however, because aluminum cases are absolutely not reloadable. Better yet, this ammo’s CCI Clean-Fire primers are totally devoid of lead, antimony and barium: three heavy metals you don’t want to collect inside your lungs.
