Black Hills Gold Ammunition Polymer Tipped 180 Grain 308 Winchester (7.62X51) Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
Since its introduction in 1952, the .308 Winchester has become a virtual standard in match and sportsman shooting. The slightly shorter case making shorter bolt throws in manual actions as well as for use in self loading firearms has proven very successful in both design and functionality among shooters all over the world. The 7.62 NATO cartridge is, of course descended from this round, and use of this cartridge in those chambers is rated as perfectly safe to do. Black Hill’s Gold is loaded with a polymer tipped 180 grain bullet that can reach a muzzle velocity of 2550 feet per second with 2598 foot pounds of energy. While the accuracy makes it a fine choice for range training and match shooting, it is particularly well suited for hunting any game up to and including deer.
Black Hills Ammunition is well known for their line of cowboy action shooting ammunition, but has branched into the performance rifle market in modern military calibers such as 5.56/.223 and .308 Winchester. Loading poly tipped bullets provides superior accuracy and expansion upon entry into the target making this product one of their most effective hunting cartridges. As always, they use reloadable brass cases for further worth to the modern reloading shooter.
