Details

This ain’t dedicated range ammo (though you could surely fire it at targets if you so please). This is 223 Remington hunting ammo: loaded with bullets that are perfectly capable of toppling whitetail and boar, and which wouldn’t disappoint if you ever had to defend your home with your 5.56/223 rifle.

This round’s bullet is a pointed soft point, with a weight and shape that are identical and similar to a 5.56 round’s M855 bullet, respectively. The PSP’s extra mass may reduce its muzzle velocity, but it also helps the bullet resist the effects of wind deflection – as well as enter deeper into the quarry. The pointed soft point’s terminal ballistics also include expansion, of course – the inevitable outcome when the tip’s exposed lead presses into the quarry’s soft flesh at sufficiently high velocity.

The PSP is nonmagnetic and range-friendly. It’s also seated in a virgin brass case (reloadable), with a noncorrosive Boxer primer to send it on its way.
