For handgun and pistol caliber carbines, 9mm ammunition remains king for reliability, versatility and - most importantly - affordability. With all this training going on, in a growing number of indoor ranges, the exposure to lead has become an ecological and legalistic concern. To say nothing of health risks of long term exposure. Most indoor ranges are required to have adequate venting facilities, but man have been closed down that have not. The development of fully encapsulated, or complete jacketed, bullets that reduce the amount of airborne lead particles has become a veritable necessity.

Fiocchi’s 115 grain cmj bullets have a muzzle velocity of 1200 feet per second with 389 foot pounds of energy. This is an ideal indoor training target shooting cartridge that is equally suited to both formal and casual competitions.

Distributed and now manufactured in the US in partnership with Smith & Wesson, Fiocchi dates back to the 1870’s in Italy and the start of the metallic cartridge revolution. Pioneers of primer design, the company has provided sporting and military ammunition aver since and is well established for consistent quality and dependability. Brass cases are reloadable by virtue of boxer primers making collecting the brass prime barter to those who reload their own custom ammo.
