Federal American Eagle Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) 660 Grain 50 BMG Ammo - 10 Rounds
Details
During World War I John Browning contemplated the issue of creating an antiaircraft cartridge and weapon by upscaling the .30-06 as well as the 1919/1917 machinegun. The resulting cartridge was the .50 Browning Machine Gun (BMG – not Big Machine Gun, though that is not altogether inaccurate and understandably misleading). Adopted in 1921 and still in service to this day, it is the only US military cartridge to have served for so long. .50 BMG is available in a wide variety of bullet types from simple machine gun to high quality, extra long distance competitive match ammo. The 660 grain full metal jacket bullet by Federal has a muzzle velocity of 2910 feet per second with over 12410 foot pounds of energy. This is good for competitive shooting and long range target shooting or extremely large game hunting.
Federal began making ammunition in 1922 in Minnesota and quickly became known as a manufacturer of premium quality hunting and sporting ammunition. Production of rimfire all the way to the .50 caliber monsters, shooters recognize Federal by its reputation. These .50 BMG cases are of course brass and boxer primed for those who have an interest handloading this caliber.
