Prvi Partizan Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) 55 Grain 5.56x45mm Ammo - 1000 Rounds
With NATO’s adoption of the 5.56x45 cartridge the caliber became the standard medium rifle round for up to 29 nations (to date) and each became primary manufacturers of it. Additionally, many non NATO countries have either adopted the cartridge for their own use or manufacture it for export. This has led to a wide selection of both commercial and military contract options for the online consumer. PRVI’s 5.56 is made to military specs, but for the commercial market, bringing what is typically only available to civilian purchasers through contract overruns. Their 55 grain, full metal jacketed, boat tail, M193 bullet leaves the muzzle at 3240 ft per sec pushed by 182 ft lbs of energy. This 1,000 cartridge case is ideal for keeping on hand for civil defense drills, emergencies, or for use in range training and firearms familiarity exercises.
Since 1928, PRVI/PPU has provided ammunition for the Yugoslavian military, including the partisans that fought against the Nazi occupation during World War II; hence the name Partizan. The Serbian insistence of dependable quality and performance continues today in the commercial line of ammo that is made to the same rigorous requirements used for their national defense yet offered at a price to US consumers that sometimes defies belief. Especially when the reloadable brass cases are factored into the equation.
