Remington - Jacketed Hollow-Point - 180 Grain - 40 Smith & Wesson Ammo - 50 Rounds
Details
Developed almost as a consolation round from the powerful 10mm Auto, the .40 Smith & Wesson offers the same bullet out of a shortened case for more manageable recoil, which is important in defensive as well as competitive situations. Still prized as one of the three most popular American sidearm calibers (which spot in the top three is subjective), the 40 shows no signs of being abandoned any time soon. Remington’s Black Belt, jacketed hollow point bullet is capable of leaving the muzzle at 1015 feet per second with 412 foot pounds of energy. Like the original Golden Saber line by Remington, this improved bullet type is a personal defense round, through and through designed for maximum transferal of ballistic energy into the target for maximum results.
Remington’s Golden Saber defensive ammunition have been a baseline for civilian and law enforcement since its introduction in 1991. In the Summer of 2018 a new non bonded bullet was introduced by applying a black, nickel plated belt (hence the name) just forward of the driving band to hold the core in place and maintain full mass retention and still have the “petals” of the bullet expand for maximum retention. As always, Remington ammunition is loaded in boxer primed bases that are reloadable.
