Fiocchi Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) 165 Grain 40 Smith & Wesson Ammo - 1000 Rounds
Details
The .40 Smith & Wesson has a reputation of having a more abusive recoil than the other two popular semi-automatic sidearm calibers (9mm an d.45acp). Part of this is association as it is a direct descendent of the 10mm Auto and the other is backed by science: that it is almost half again as heavy as the 9mm that is travelling almost half again as fast as the .45 acp. This can generate more kick, though it is not by any means intolerable or a “hand cannon.” Fiocchi’s 165 grain, jacketed truncated cone bullet exits the muzzle at 1020 ft per sec pushed by 392 ft lbs of force. This 1000 round case lot is ideal for competition training or matches themselves as the bullet design increases feeding reliability and provide a bit more stability in flight while leaving paper cutter like holes in targets.
Distributed in the US in partnership with Smith & Wesson before building a plant in Springfield, Missouri, the Fiocchi brand has expanded considerably from its considerably diverse, Italian roots. Known for top end production of uncommon calibers, their production line of performance ammunition remains a popular choice for US consumers both in initial use as well as the reloadable boxer primed, quality cases.
