Prvi Partizan Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJ-BT) 145 Grain 7.62X51mm Ammo - 500 Rounds
Outside of the former Soviet Union, 7.62x51 NATO ammo is perhaps the most widespread military rifle cartridge in the world. This is because it’s adoption by the “western” world and also due to its civilian doppelganger, the .308 Winchester, being a popular sporting cartridge all over the world as well. While the sporting cartridges are loaded with a variety of different bullet types, the NATO round remains a full metal jacket cartridge.
PRVI’s 145 grain, FMJ boat tailed bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2,838 ft per sec with 2592 ft lbs of energy. Primarily selected for range training and target shooting, this 500 round case is also well suited for military style competitions as well as civil defense.
PRVI was established in 1928 as the state munitions maker for the Yugoslavian nation. Today it continues to fulfill that role for Serbia. It is difficult to argue against the pride that people feels in their cultural history which includes preparation against all invaders, and that pride translates into their ammunition: boxer primed brass cases that are reloadable and time tested bullet designs offer US shooting enthusiasts an excellent source of non-corrosive range and service ammunition at a reasonable price.
