MEN Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) 147 Grain 308 Winchester (7.62X51) Ammo - 500 Rounds

Dual labeling these cartridges as both .308 Winchester and 7.62x51 can lead many to assume they are both the same cartridge. While they are more compatible with each other than the .223/5.56NATO pairing since either can be fired in the other’s chambers without safety concerns, there are enough differences to merit a separation of nomenclature: the Winchester round is typically tended more for sporting purposes and is there for loaded with a greater variety of both bullet types and powder loads. The NATO round is a full metal jacketed bullet to conform to international laws respecting such applications. The latter bullet also makes a very good target or competition shooting round as well given that its design is devoted to accuracy and is also somewhat more cost effective without specialty, expanding bullets. Magtech’s 147 gr fmj round exits the muzzle at up to 2707 ft per sec with 2385 ft lbs of energy. This 500 rd case is a well suited for competition and range training.
