Barnes VOR-TX TTSX 130 Grain 308 Winchester (7.62X51) Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
The dual labeling of cartridges as .308 and 7.62x51 can, and has, led to some confusion over the years. While both cartridges can safely be fired in the other’s chambers, the .308 is sometimes loaded to increased pressure and with a wider variety of bullet types. This does not mean it cannot be used in a NATO barrel, however. It simply means that these firearms benefit from a wide variety of bullet types, which in turn has led to this caliber’s adoption over much of the known world for both sporting and military applications.
Barnes 130 grain TTSX bullet has a stated muzzle velocity of 3125 feet per second with 2818 foot pounds of energy. This is a premium bullet design, solid copper with no separation of core and jacketing, maintaining full mass even while fully expanding upon contact, meant for medium to large, and even dangerous game.
Barnes bullets has long been a trusted name in the custom handloading community, and the introduction of the Triple Shock, or TTSX, bullet has only strengthened the bond. Now available to sport shooters who do not reload for themselves, Barnes Ammunition brings these ready to shoot, solid copper, expanding bullets in boxer primed cases.
