Magtech’s 123 grain full metal jacket 300 BLK ammo brings a muzzle velocity of 2230 feet per second with 1358 foot pounds of energy. This is a 300 AAC round that is well suited for target practice, civil defense as well as range and firearms training.

At the start of the 21st century the U.S. began, again, to look at alternative calibers, specifically for the M4 service carbine. The goal was to have a cartridge that matched the often antagonist 7.62x39 Russian cartridge in terminal ballistics, at least at close and medium ranges. The .300 Black out proved to be one of the most popular alternatives, if for no other reason than it feeds reliably off standard AR magazines.
