Remington - Core Lokt Soft Point - 140 Grain 280 Remington Ammo - 20 Rounds
Details
Introduced in 1957, the .280 Remington is also known as the 7mm-06 and the 7mm Express. Like the .270 Winchester, it is a .30-06/03 case reduced down, but in this instance to accept a 7mm projectile. The bottle neck is also moved forward to prevent the .280 from being loaded into a .270 chamber. As with the Winchester cartridge it gains better long range stability and penetrative capabilities with a narrower bullet and is a common domestic caliber for mil surplus rifles from World War II that were rechambered after the war.
The 140 grain bullet loaded into this Remington 280 ammo has a muzzle velocity of 2839 feet per second with 2506 foot pounds of energy. It is capable of dealing with virtually every sporting game on either American continent. It is also capable of dealing with game in Europe or Africa but has not been as popular there as other gaming cartridges.
Remington CoreLokt bullet was one of the first projectile types developed to prevent the copper jacketing from peeling off on entry and reducing the bullet’s mass and, as a result, its penetration. Trusted for decades by sportsmen to deliver effective results when shot placements are on target, Remington continues being a first choice when heading into the field.
