Tula Cartridge Works Hollow-Point (HP) 122 Grain 7.62X39 Ammo - 100 Rounds
Details
Russia’s development of 7.62x39 ammo was born of developments recovered from the battlefields of the Eastern Front. Germany’s sturmgewehr (assault rifle) revealed the increased battlefield effectiveness of a single soldier over the contemporary bolt action rifle or submachinegun armed soldier of the day. While they did not deploy their new round until after the war, the 7.62x39’s effectiveness and dependability under extreme environmental conditions (it IS a Russian design, after all) has made the cartridge into a global presence. Tula’s hollow point, 122 grain bullet has a muzzle velocity of 2330 feet per second with 1550 foot pounds of energy. It is ideal for rifle training and target shooting as well as community defense. In a pinch it can also be used as an effective hunting cartridge, though consultation of local laws is recommended.
Russia’s Tula Cartridge Works has been in the military munitions business since the age of the tsars and is among the longest running manufacturers of the 7.62x39 cartridge. Designed for dependable use no matter how long it has been on the shelf or the environmental conditions, Tula Ammo fits the Russian stereotype: it does not have to be pretty or reloadable, it just has to work. And it does.
