The .308 Winchester cartridge became one of the world’s most popular military and sporting cartridge back in 1952. This is partially due to its military variant, the 7.62x51, or 7.62 NATO adoption two years later and partially because it was a round that offered the ballistic performances of cartridges that were larger and less common. Both .308 and 7.62 NATO can be safely loaded and fired from each other’s chambers, which also accounts for the cartridge’s popularity. Because of its widespread adoption, the caliber is a standard for long range and Civilian Marksmanship Program style competitions.

ASYM’s 175 grain hollow point, boat tailed bullet has a muzzle velocity of around 2625 feet per second with over 2600 foot pounds of energy. This is a competition round designed to deliver hand loaded, precision performance. Additionally, military and police precision shooters employ this bullet for their uses.

AYSM is a company dedicated to providing excellence for precision shooting. Predominantly meant for formal competitions, the company offers custom handloading quality in a commercially available product. Of course, cases are reloadable, made from the strictest of quality controlled components and exacting standards.
