Hornady Z-Max - #00 Buck - 12 Gauge Ammo - 250 Rounds

Ever since its inception a few centuries ago, the scatter gun has achieved and maintained a position as the ultimate in personal and home defense. The effectiveness of which has even been applied to the battlefield as the US military in particular has resorted to shotgun use for close quarters combat from the trenches of France in World War I, and before, through to “breacher” guns in Iraq and Afghanistan today. The 2 ¾” 12 gauge Z-Max shell by Hornady each fires up to a dozen 8mm shot pellets at 1600 feet per second in a broadening pattern depending on the choke of the barrel. At close range this is particularly intimidating while further down range the spread widens to insure scoring a hit.
