Fiocchi - Jacketed Hollow Point - 40 Grain 22 Magnum Ammo - 500 Rounds

.22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire was introduced as a high performance RF round for target shooting and small game. Capable of at least half again as much muzzle velocity at the standard .22 Long Rifle with twice as much energy, the round’s suitability is increasingly being considered as a self defense round: impressive penetration in albeit petite bore diameter. Yet what it lacks for in size it makes up for in capacity and minimal recoil. Fiocchi’s 40 grain jacketed hollow point bullet is capable of exiting the barrel at 1910 feet per second with approximately 320 foot pounds of energy. This is a round well suited for target shooting but intended for small to medium game hunting and pest control, and not a bad contender for use in personal defense: against woodland or urban threats.

Though founded in Italy in 1876, Fiocchi ammunition marketed in the US is just as likely to be manufactured at their Springfield, Missouri facility.
