38 Special - 158 gr FMJ - Fiocchi Perfecta - 1000 Rounds
Details
The .38 Special was introduced in 1898 by Smith & Wesson as a lengthened and ballistically superior cartridge to the .38 Long Colt. It was quickly adopted as a primary law enforcement round well on into the 1980s but continues to today as a popular civilian sporting and personal defense cartridge thanks to its easy recoil and inherent accuracy.
The 158 grain bullet, full metal jacket Perfecta bullet by Fiocchi has a muzzle velocity of 984 ft per sec and 330 ft lbs of energy. This is a premium training and firearms introductory cartridge that offers similar ballistics and recoil to the more expensive, defense rounds: the 1k case is ideal for centering around a training course or simply having on hand for spontaneous trips to the range.
Fiocchi has almost a century and a half of experience making quality cartridges with boxer primers and reloadable cases. Before setting up shop in the US, this Italian company has provided cartridges for Europe’s sportsmen and soldiers and been a frontrunner in cartridge and propellant development. The Perfecta line brings initial quality and reloadability along with something rarely seen in “plinking” ammo – clean burning powder. Post range cleanups with less scrubbing = perfect.
