Federal 3rd Degree 3" 1 7/16 oz. #5-6-7 Shot Mix 20 Gauge Ammo - 5 Rounds

While the 12 gauge is the most ubiquitous of the scattergun calibers the 20 gauge is one of the most popular for younger and smaller shooters. Capable of delivering comparable effectiveness at close range, its reduced load is more often in energy and max capacity of the shell, but commonly delivers similar amount of shot. Then there is Federal’s 3rd Degree Turkey shot shell. These 3” 1 7/16 ounce shells are loaded with three levels of shot for close, medium and long range effectiveness. The first layer makes up 20% of the shell with #6 nickel plated Flitestopper pellets that have a crimped ring for close range terminal ballistic effectiveness. The second level, comprising 40% of the shell is copper plated #5 shot for medium range. The final 40% is made from dense, tungsten iron (up to a third denser than lead) #7 shot for long ranges.
