Upland bird hunting has long been a sport for the country gentleman who helped pioneer the art of the shotgun and its various applications to various game. Different sized shot was determined to be suitable for different sized game based on patterns and especially volume. The heavier the shot (smaller the number) the larger the bird. While out of the wetlands, modern ordnances still permit the use of lead shot which has a broader pattern from an open choke muzzles, and with the popularity of “birding” the sport is accessible to not just country squires but all responsible enough to earn their license. The 2.75” shot shell by Fiocchi is loaded with one and a quarter ounce of #5 shot. This translates to .12” shot numbering around 210 pcs per shell. It is ideal for hunting larger foul on dry land. This 250 round case is suitable for more than a few forays into the field. …. Probably.

Fiocchi Ammunition was begun in Italy in the 1870s and has been present at virtually every advancement in modern shot shell technology. Today, the bulk of shotshells sold in the US are manufactured in Springfield, Missouri. Shells are reloadable to handloaders with the proper equipment.
