Silver State Armory - Triple Shock - 110 Grain 6.8 SPC Ammo - 20 Rounds
Though developed, yet not fully adopted, as an alternative for the service 5.56 NATO, the merits of the 6.8 Remington Special Purpose Carbine caliber has been embraced by American sportsmen. It was developed I response to the military’s need to upgrade their M4 carbine performance when it came to stopping power: the 5.56 round does very well in making small holes, but unless something critical was hit, service personnel found it difficult to neutralize threats with one shot. The heavier 6.8 round delivers a bit more in terminal ballistics with the only requirement being the trade out of the weapon’s upper receiver. Special forces teams do employ it on occasion, but the caliber has become very popular with sport hinters looking to pack a bit more power out of their AR platforms. SSA’s 110 grain triple shock bullet leaves the muzzle at approximately 2500 ft per sec with up to 1525 ft lbs of energy. This is a round designed for hunting.
One of the first and most trusted maker of 6.8 SPC cartridges, Silver State Armory (SSA) uses the latest in manufacturing technology for both cases and bullet designs. Designed for maximum ballistic performance, the triple shock bullet is accurate, penetrating deep with optimum expansion.
